On March 1, Chief Financial Officer Cathy Anderson and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs Mitzi Montoya emailed the Council of Academic Deans about appropriately managing account access and university data when faculty and staff leave the U or transfer to another unit.

The database where UIT stores contact information for University of Utah IT staff members in the event of a network incident is moving to ServiceNow, a more secure and scalable platform.

Commissioned by the Office of the President and Board of Regents, a multiphased, campus-wide cybersecurity initiative is now underway. The program involves the implementation of new cybersecurity tools at a college/department/organization-level.
