The Information Security Office shares some tips on how to handle calls and text messages from unknown numbers or seemingly legitimate numbers that aren’t part of your contact list, while assisting the university in its contact tracing efforts.

IT Project Manager Jody Sluder retired on February 16, 2021 after serving the University of Utah for 25 years. In lieu of an in-person party, UIT employees offered well-wishes via Microsoft Teams.

Effective January 1, 2021, some Microsoft software is no longer available through the Kivuto OnTheHub web store. Microsoft will continue to provide updates for software previously purchased though the Kivuto web store.

There were no IT governance meetings in February. The Strategic Information Technology Committee (SITC) will regroup on March 9. The Enterprise Web Advisory Council (EWAC) will meet again on March 11. The Architecture and New Technology Committee (ANTC) will convene on March 22. The next Teaching and Learning Portfolio (TLP) meeting is to be announced.
