The UIT All-Hands Meeting, hosted by Chief Information Officer Steve Hess, included a high-level look at the results of an employee survey about worksite location models, highlights of UIT’s FY2023 strategic plan, and a Q&A session.
The U has embarked on a project to explore new platforms used by prospective graduate students seeking admission to a master’s or doctoral degree program. A platform called Slate is expected to enter production by fall 2023.
New network devices regularly come online, and old ones exceed their manufacturer-recommended end of life. Life cycle-driven upgrades are critical to the stability, redundancy, and security of the U’s wireless networks.
About two dozen UIT employees from Software Platform Services (SPS), University Support Services (USS), and a couple of other teams recently met for a friendly game of kickball.
