Sheedy rediscovers running during the pandemic

UIT's Rachael Sheedy was desperate to get out the house, so she mapped out a gradual return to running. Her efforts culminated in the completion of her first half-marathon held in Beaver, Utah, on August 14.

Jill Brinton retires after 22 years with the U

Jill Brinton

UIT employees this month wished a fond farewell to Jill Brinton, associate director for the Project Management Office (PMO) for the past four years. Colleagues called the “cat lady” and basketball fan engaging, humorous, intentional, and no-nonsense.

The system administrator in UIT’s Campus Computer Support team also goes by Lord Christophe Von Lübbeke, a persona he assumes as part of the Barony of Loch Salann, the Salt Lake City chapter of the Society for Creative Anachronism.

The PMO's Jody Sluder retires after 25 years at the U

Jody Sluder

IT Project Manager Jody Sluder retired on February 16, 2021 after serving the University of Utah for 25 years. In lieu of an in-person party, UIT employees offered well-wishes via Microsoft Teams.
